Duncan A. Young

Duncan A. Young has an extensive and diverse depth of experience providing legal counsel to individual, private and public clients. In addition to Nebraska, Young has litigated cases in state and federal courts across the country, including courts in New York, California, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. He has also been admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

Young received his law degree (J.D.) in 1978 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He was admitted to the Nebraska Bar in 1978. He has also been admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. In 1994, he was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and in 1999 to the U.S. Supreme Court.


Born in Richland, Washington, Young was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He received his B.A. from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1973.


Young is a member of the Omaha, Nebraska State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys and the Western Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
